About the event
SENHE is partnering with The Forge Nashville to offer a hands-on, immersive learning experience! Students will be able to experience the amazing workshops and maker's spaces at the Forge, led by some of their primary artisans and instructors. We will explore the disciplines of Wood Shop, Metal Shop, Digital Fabrication and Screen Printing through project-based learning. Each student will build one project that uses all disciplines - a lamp with a built-in cell phone speaker as the base, as well as a custom tote bag! We will use applicable tools in the woodshop, learn to weld in the metal shop, create a lamp shade from veneer using the laser in the DigiFab Lab, and learn to screen print personal designs on a tote bag! Students can take their projects home after finishing them. All materials are included. Please bring your lunch and water or beverage of choice."
Students must attend both days - April 5 and May 10. Please bring your lunch and water or beverage of choice.
This experience is geared for students in grades 6-12th.
