About the event
The Hatcher Family is very proud of our heritage. Since 1819, six consecutive generations have continued the farming in the small community of Arno, Tennessee. We are a family run business and in 2021 our family was featured in a docu-series called “The Hatcher Family Dairy” - you can stream the entire first season on Disney+!
Our homeschool field trips are organized as a self guided tour so that your group is able to spend their time where they prefer based on ages & interests.
The tour goes through the following stations:
-The Abe Hatcher Creamery: learn about our bottling & processing practices and systems
-The Milk Barn Museum: our old milk barn that we milked cows in until March 2024 - learn about our farm, family & community history
-The Robot Viewing Room: Watch our cows get milked by our new robotic milkers & learn about the process of…
